How to resize images
- 1Drop your images into the box above, or click Choose images.
- 2Enter a width or height, or switch to percentage. Keep proportions stays on so nothing gets stretched.
- 3Download each image, or all of them as a ZIP file.
Resize by pixels or percentage
By size sets exact pixel dimensions. Enter just a width or just a height, and with Keep proportions on, the other side is worked out for you. That's the way to meet a requirement like "at least 1200 pixels wide". By percentage scales everything by the same amount, which is handy for batches of photos with different sizes.
Common sizes
| Use | Typical width |
|---|---|
| Full-width website image | 1920 px |
| Blog or article image | 1200 px |
| Email newsletter | 600 px (1200 px for sharp screens) |
| Profile photo | 400 to 800 px square |
For social media posts with exact shapes, use social media image sizes, which crops to the right shape as well.
Making images bigger
You can enlarge an image, but resizing can't add detail that isn't there, so large enlargements look soft. Where possible, start from the original, full-size photo.
