How to convert PNG to JPG

- 2Pick a quality and, if your PNGs are transparent, a background color.
- 3Download each JPG, or all of them as a ZIP file.
When to convert PNG to JPG
PNG is lossless, which is perfect for screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges, but it makes photos very large. A photo saved as PNG is often five to ten times bigger than the same photo as a JPG. Convert to JPG when you need to email photos, meet an upload size limit or speed up a web page.
When to keep PNG
Keep PNG for images with text, flat colors or sharp lines, like screenshots, diagrams and logos. JPG compression can add faint smudges around sharp edges. Also keep PNG when you need a transparent background, because JPG can't store transparency.
Transparent backgrounds
Any transparent areas in your PNG are filled with the color you pick under Fill transparent areas with. White suits most documents and websites. Match your page's background color if the image will sit on a colored section.
