Crop to fill or fit inside?
Crop to fill covers the whole frame and trims whatever doesn't fit, keeping the center of your image. It's best for photos. Fit inside shows the entire image and fills the leftover space with a color you choose. It's best for graphics, quotes and anything where the edges matter. To choose exactly what gets cropped, use crop image first.
Why size matters
When an image doesn't match the shape a platform expects, the platform crops it for you, often cutting off faces or text. Uploading at the recommended size also avoids extra compression, so your post looks sharper.
