What is a TIFF file?
TIFF is a high-quality format used by scanners, fax software, professional cameras and print shops. TIFFs are often huge and most browsers, email apps and websites can't show them. Converting to JPG gives you a file that opens anywhere and is a fraction of the size.
Works in every browser
Only Safari can read TIFF on its own. In Chrome, Edge and Firefox, this tool loads a small TIFF reader the first time you add a file, so conversion still happens entirely on your device.
Multi-page TIFFs and special formats
Fax documents and some scans store several pages in one TIFF. This tool converts the first page. Very specialized TIFFs, such as 16-bit scientific images or CMYK print files, may come out with slightly different colors, so check the result before you rely on it.
